Who Are the Major Players in CRM Software For 2006?

CRM software (customer relationship management software) is growing in variety, availability, and capabilities, and there's something for almost every customer management and company situation. Where do you start looking though? Heres some quick hints about who the major software vendors and developers are in the area of customer relationship management.

In the Enterprise Suite CRM category the major players, according to CRM Magazine are:

  • Amdocs
  • Peoplesoft
  • Salesforce.com
  • SAP
  • Siebel Systems (owned by Oracle)

In the Midmarket Suite CRM category, the following would be considered the primary vendors:

  • Microsoft
  • Netsuite
  • Rightnow Technologies
  • Salesforce.com
  • SAP

Smaller business aren't being left out either as companies have moded into meeting the more modest needs and budgets of smaller companies interested in CRM software solutions. The players include:

  • Frontrange Solutions
  • Maximizer Software
  • Netsuite
  • Sage CRM
  • Salesforce.com

Obviously each of these companies and their software solutions have various strengths and weaknesses, and since customer relationship management technology can be very expensive a good deal of research is neceesary to make an informed buying decision.
